There is no joy in this season without the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is both the light and the joy we seek.  He provides the life we are all longing for.  God's promises to all people are wrapped up in Jesus.  The world wants happiness and meaning.  The world needs hope and a valid reason for laughter.  God is the core and center of all genuine life, light, hope and meaning.  Jesus gives us laughter as we realize in Him the the promise of eternal life.

I dream and hope for a Christmas season when all the children will have safety and peace, no more war, no more crime, no more drugs or divorce or death or loneliness.  I dream of a Christmas season when all nations and people will join hands and voices together, singing praises to our God, to the Lord Jesus who came into the world as a tiny infant, and who faced death on a cross to save us from sin.  I dream of a Christmas morning when there will be no tears of sorrow any more, for ever and ever. 

Lord Jesus, please come soon and make everything right in our hearts and in this world.  Amen.
