Too many people in our day and age can identify a little too much with Pinocchio, the wooden puppet boy.  In our society a lot of folks simply feel that their lives are without meaning.  And it's true that many of us are fall into a pattern of paper thin, superficial living.  We feel empty inside, void of the purpose and joy and sense of worth that we need.  At the end of the day, we may wonder what we have really accomplished.

Jesus Christ is the answer to this problem.  He was here when God created the entire universe.  In fact, the first chapter of John says that Jesus Himself did the actual work of creation.  The opening verses of the New Testament book of Hebrews confirms this fact.  Jesus knows all about us, from the inside out.

But Jesus is more than our Creator.  He is our Savior.  He is the Promised One in the Old Testament Scriptures, the Messiah or Anointed One spoken of by all the prophets.  He is the One who makes things right.  Our sin has made a mess of this world in many ways, but Jesus knows how to make things right again.  And He has taken action to do just that.

By going to the cross for our sins, Jesus paid the price for all the wrong choices we have made.  he has not only the power, but the legal right to change your life and mine when we come to Him for help, for a rescue.  He has promised to never turn anyone away who comes to Him for a new life.  He makes things right.  he gives us real and meaningful life — right here and right now.
