A great chasm caused by sin keeps human beings from God. But God loves people. All people. So He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to our world. Jesus came among us, the Man who is God. He told us the truth about God, and sin, and human nature.

But Jesus did a lot more than talk. He changed human lives wherever He went. He healed broken bodies and made blind eyes see. He restored hearing, made lepers clean, and even brought the dead back to life again.

Still, what about the problem of human sin? The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ took all our sins away at the cross. Evil-hearted men sentenced Jesus to death on a cross. But God used the suffering and death of His holy Son to pay for the sins of the whole world. Jesus died for your sins and for mine. God was in Christ, the Bible says, reconciling the world to Himself.

The wages of sin, the Bible says, is death. And God also says that we have all sinned. But Jesus Christ removes the curse of sin for everyone who believes in Him. As the Bible says, "God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, so that whoso ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
